Vidari Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Vidari iOS app. The melrakki.se website is covered by its own website privacy policy, and is described separately below.

English

The short version

Vidari runs on your phone. It has no account, and everything you enter about your quit stays on your device; if you delete the app, that data goes with it. We, Melrakki AB, never see it. There is no analytics, advertising or tracking software in the app. The one exception to “nothing leaves the phone” is buying Vidari Plus: Apple handles the payment and the subscription through the App Store.

Who we are

Vidari is published by Melrakki AB (org.nr 559576-4480), a company based in Gothenburg, Sweden. If you have a question about privacy, write to hello@melrakki.se.

What the app stores, and where

To do its job, Vidari keeps a small amount of information in the app’s own storage on your iPhone:

the journey you chose (for example quitting smoking or quitting snus)
your start date and the answers you gave during setup, such as how much you used and what it cost
urges and slips you choose to log, and any notes you attach
which insights, chapters and milestones you have seen, saved or completed
your preferences: theme, notification toggles and Discreet Mode

This is stored in the app’s private container using the storage that iOS provides for apps. It is protected by your device passcode and by the encryption built into iOS. Vidari does not add its own encryption on top of that, and it does not need to, because the data never leaves the device.

In Apple’s App Store privacy terms, Vidari declares Data Not Collected.

Purchases (Vidari Plus)

Vidari Plus is the subscription for the ongoing program. Everything you have built and everything you need on a bad day — your journeys, the counter, progress and milestones, slip logging, restarting, safety content and the slips and support material — stays available without it, and none of that involves this section.

If you do buy Plus:

Apple takes the payment and runs the subscription through your Apple Account. We never see your card details, name or address. Apple’s own privacy policy applies.
The app asks Apple’s StoreKit, on your device, whether the subscription is active. Purchases are native StoreKit 2. No purchase information is sent to us or to any third party; there is no purchase service, no server and no account.
“Erase all data” in the app does not affect your subscription, which lives in your Apple Account, so “Restore purchases” keeps working.

What the app does not do

It does not create accounts and never asks for your name, e-mail address, phone number or any other identifier.
Apart from purchases (above), it does not connect to the internet: there is no Vidari server, and nothing you log is uploaded anywhere.
It does not contain third-party software development kits (SDKs) for analytics, crash reporting, advertising, attribution or social sharing. There are no third-party SDKs in the app; purchases use Apple’s StoreKit.
It does not track you across apps or websites, and it does not use the advertising identifier.
It does not read your contacts, location, photos, camera, microphone or health records.
It does not sell, share or rent data, because it has none to share.

Links to sources

Some articles cite a source. Opening one hands the link to Safari, and from that point your browser is visiting someone else’s website under their privacy policy. Vidari sends nothing along with the link, and it has no in-app browser.

Notifications

Vidari can send optional reminders: a morning word and a note when you reach a milestone. These are local notifications scheduled by the app on your phone. They are not sent through any server, and turning them on does not send anything to us. Discreet Mode replaces the text of those reminders with a neutral message so that no health details appear on your lock screen. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

Backups

If you back up your device to iCloud or to a computer, the app’s data is included in that backup in the same way as other apps. That backup is handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. Melrakki AB has no access to it.

Deleting your data

Delete the app from your phone and all of its data is removed. “Erase all data” in Settings does the same without deleting the app, and deliberately leaves your subscription alone so that Restore keeps working; the subscription itself is managed in your Apple Account, and we hold no purchase record of our own.

This website

These pages are part of melrakki.se, the Melrakki AB company website. The website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party trackers. Like any website it is delivered by a hosting provider, Vercel, which processes ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent and the URL requested in order to serve and secure the pages. That is separate from the app: reading this page is not connected to anything you do in Vidari, and the app never contacts this site.

If you write to us, we receive your e-mail address and whatever you put in the message, and we use it only to answer you. See the melrakki.se privacy policy for the website itself.

Children

Vidari is intended for adults aged 18 and over who want to stop using nicotine. It is not directed at anyone under 18. Because the app collects nothing, no personal data about minors reaches us in any case.

Health information and medical advice

The content in Vidari is educational and behavioural. It is not medical advice, it does not diagnose or treat any condition, and Vidari is not a medical device. Nothing you log in the app is reviewed by a health professional. If you feel unwell, contact a doctor, nurse or pharmacist. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in Sweden and the EU, 911 in the U.S.).

Your rights

Data protection laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation give you rights over personal data that an organisation processes about you. Melrakki AB processes no personal data through the Vidari app at all — a Vidari Plus subscription is handled by Apple and never reaches us — so there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or erase on your behalf, and you remain in full control of the data on your own device. If we do hold personal data about you for another reason — for example because you e-mailed us — you can ask us to access or delete it by writing to the address below.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how Vidari handles data — for example by adding an optional online feature — we will update this page, change the effective date at the top and describe the change in the App Store release notes before that version ships. Continued use of a version that includes such a feature means you accept the updated policy for that feature.

Vad appen sparar, och var

För att fungera sparar Vidari en liten mängd information i appens eget lagringsutrymme på din iPhone:

den resa du valt (till exempel att sluta röka eller sluta snusa)
ditt startdatum och de svar du gav vid uppstarten, till exempel hur mycket du använde och vad det kostade
sug och snedsteg som du själv väljer att logga, samt eventuella anteckningar
vilka insikter, kapitel och milstolpar du har sett, sparat eller slutfört
dina inställningar: tema, notiser och diskret läge

Detta lagras i appens privata behållare med den lagring som iOS tillhandahåller för appar. Det skyddas av din enhetskod och av den kryptering som är inbyggd i iOS. Vidari lägger inte till någon egen kryptering ovanpå detta, och behöver inte göra det, eftersom datan aldrig lämnar enheten.

I App Store-formuläret för integritet anger Vidari Data Not Collected — ingen datainsamling.

Köp (Vidari Plus)

Vidari Plus är prenumerationen för det löpande programmet. Allt du byggt upp och allt du behöver en dålig dag — dina resor, räknaren, framsteg och milstolpar, loggning av snedsteg, att börja om, säkerhetsinnehåll och materialet om snedsteg och stöd — finns kvar utan den och berörs inte av det här avsnittet.

Om du köper Plus:

Apple tar betalt och sköter prenumerationen via ditt Apple-konto. Vi ser aldrig dina kortuppgifter, ditt namn eller din adress. Apples egen integritetspolicy gäller.
Appen frågar Apples StoreKit, på din enhet, om prenumerationen är aktiv. Köp sker med Apples StoreKit 2. Ingen köpinformation skickas till oss eller till någon tredje part; det finns ingen köptjänst, ingen server och inget konto.
“Radera all data” i appen påverkar inte din prenumeration, som ligger i ditt Apple-konto, så att “Återställ köp” fortsätter fungera.

Vad appen inte gör

Den skapar inga konton och frågar aldrig efter namn, e-postadress, telefonnummer eller någon annan identifierare.
Bortsett från köp (ovan) ansluter den inte till internet: det finns ingen Vidari-server och inget du loggar laddas upp någonstans.
Den innehåller inga tredjepartsbibliotek (SDK:er) för analys, kraschrapportering, reklam, attribution eller delning i sociala medier. Det finns inga tredjeparts-SDK:er i appen; köp går via Apples StoreKit.
Den spårar dig inte över appar eller webbplatser och använder inte reklamidentifieraren.
Den läser inte dina kontakter, din plats, dina bilder, kameran, mikrofonen eller dina hälsojournaler.
Den säljer, delar eller hyr inte ut data, eftersom den inte har någon data att dela.

Länkar till källor

Vissa texter hänvisar till en källa. Öppnar du en sådan länk lämnas den över till Safari, och därifrån besöker din webbläsare någon annans webbplats enligt deras integritetspolicy. Vidari skickar ingenting med länken, och appen har ingen inbyggd webbläsare.

Notiser

Vidari kan skicka valfria påminnelser: ett ord på morgonen och en notis när du når en milstolpe. Det är lokala notiser som appen schemalägger i din telefon. De skickas inte via någon server, och att slå på dem skickar ingenting till oss. Diskret läge ersätter texten i påminnelserna med ett neutralt meddelande så att inga hälsodetaljer syns på låsskärmen. Du kan stänga av notiser när som helst i appen eller i iOS-inställningarna.

Säkerhetskopior

Om du säkerhetskopierar enheten till iCloud eller till en dator ingår appens data i säkerhetskopian på samma sätt som för andra appar. Den kopian hanteras av Apple enligt Apples villkor och integritetspolicy. Melrakki AB har ingen åtkomst till den.

Radera din data

Radera appen från telefonen så tas all dess data bort. “Radera all data” i Inställningar gör samma sak utan att appen tas bort, och rör medvetet inte din prenumeration så att Återställ fortsätter fungera; prenumerationen hanterar du i ditt Apple-konto, och vi har ingen egen köpuppgift om dig.

De här sidorna är en del av melrakki.se, Melrakki AB:s företagswebbplats. Webbplatsen sätter inga kakor, kör ingen analys och laddar inga tredjepartsspårare. Som alla webbplatser levereras den av en webbhotellsleverantör, Vercel, som behandlar vanliga förfrågningsuppgifter som IP-adress, webbläsarsträng och begärd URL för att kunna leverera och skydda sidorna. Barn

Vidari är avsedd för vuxna från 18 år som vill sluta med nikotin. Appen riktar sig inte till någon under 18 år. Eftersom appen inte samlar in något når inga personuppgifter om minderåriga oss i något fall.

Hälsoinformation och medicinska råd

Innehållet i Vidari är utbildande och beteendeinriktat. Det är inte medicinsk rådgivning, det diagnostiserar eller behandlar inget tillstånd, och Vidari är inte en medicinteknisk produkt. Inget du loggar i appen granskas av vårdpersonal. Om du mår dåligt, kontakta läkare, sjuksköterska eller apotek. I en nödsituation, ring ditt lokala nödnummer (112 i Sverige och EU).

Dina rättigheter

Dataskyddslagar som EU:s dataskyddsförordning (GDPR) ger dig rättigheter över personuppgifter som en organisation behandlar om dig. Melrakki AB behandlar inga personuppgifter alls via Vidari-appen — en Vidari Plus-prenumeration hanteras av Apple och når aldrig oss — så det finns inget för oss att ge tillgång till, rätta, exportera eller radera åt dig, och du har full kontroll över datan på din egen enhet. Har vi personuppgifter om dig av något annat skäl — till exempel för att du har mejlat oss — kan du be oss lämna ut eller radera dem genom att skriva till adressen nedan.

Ändringar i policyn

Om vi någon gång ändrar hur Vidari hanterar data — till exempel genom att lägga till en valfri onlinefunktion — uppdaterar vi den här sidan, ändrar datumet högst upp och beskriver ändringen i App Store-versionsinformationen innan den versionen släpps. Fortsatt användning av en version som innehåller en sådan funktion innebär att du godtar den uppdaterade policyn för den funktionen.
